    Northwave. A Survey of Video Art in Nordic Countries, book and video screening

    The book, published by Silvana Editoriale, offers a broad survey of developments in Nordic Countries video art since the 60′s until nowadays and the poetics developed by artists.
    The book is bilingual (Italian / English) and includes a DVD showcasing some video preview of the artists.
    The book has been supported by the following Nordic Countries institutions: Nordisk Kulturfond, The Nordic Culture Fund; Finnish Cultural Foundation, Helsinki, Finland; FRAME, Finnish Fund for Art Exchange, Helsinki, Finland; AVEK, Promotion Centre for Audiovisual Culture, Helsinki, Finland; Fritt Ord Foundation, Oslo, Norway; Danish Arts Council, Copenaghen, Denmark; CIA, Center for Icelandic Art, Reykjavík, Iceland.
    The video screening has been realized at Scuola dei Calegheri, Venice, (June) in occasion of the launch book, and in collaboration with the Municipality of Venice, the Embassies of Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden and the Cultural Association QUU; a second view has been shown at the H. C. Andersen Museum, Rome, (October), on occasion of the 5th edition of Contemporary Day, an event promoted by the Cultural Association AMACI and dedicated to the contemporary art and its audience with the support of PARC – General Directorate for Quality and the Protection of Landscape, Contemporary Architecture and Art of the Italian Ministry for Cultural Heritage.
